What Spenza does
Spenza brings expense logging, account activity, category budgets and spending analytics into a mobile financial journal. Receipt and bank-statement capture prepare transactions for review before saving. CSV import supports Malaysian banking formats, including Maybank, CIMB and RHB.
Financial Coach helps explain supplied spending and budget context. The aim is simple: understand spending, manage budgets and improve financial habits. Inspect the product.
Current product status
Spenza is publicly available for Android. The released Flutter app uses Supabase for authentication and financial records. Development continues alongside the public release. Google Play and iOS distribution are not currently available. Get Spenza for Android, watch the real Android demo or read the development changelog.
Claude and the product AI layer
Spenza is upgrading its existing Financial Coach with Claude support for conversational spending analysis, budgeting guidance, transaction understanding and Malaysian financial-data reasoning, including MYR transactions and mixed Malay-English questions. The server-side integration uses supplied financial context such as Malaysian merchant descriptions and budgets.
Claude support is implemented server-side but is not yet active in production. It is not the provider serving current Coach conversations. Production activation remains subject to configuration and successful inference verification.
Google Gemini currently provides spending insights and Financial Coach. OpenAI (GPT) handles receipt and bank-statement extraction when available. AI calls run server-side; provider keys are not included in the mobile app. Financial Coach is informational, not financial advice.
